Florence Mae Travers, 87, of Mechancisburg, PA, and formerly of Irmo, S.C., passed away on Sunday March 30, 2014 at the Carolyn Croxton Slane Hospice Residence in Harrisburg, PA.
Born on January 15, 1927 in Valdosta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Margaret (Gray) Vance and was the widow of William E. Travers.
One of Florence's most favorite things to do was cook. She was also an excellent interior decorator know for her natural touch. She and her late husband used to love to take long rides through the country and on occasion enjoy a stop off at Myrtle Beach. She had a love for watching golf.
Florence is survived by her son, Steve Parker and his wife Patricia "Trish" of, Lewisberry, PA; a sister, Mary H. Shackelford, of Texas; two brothers, Thomas Vance, of Florida, and Bruce Vance, of Alabama.
All funeral services are private and will be handled at the convenience of her family.
