Ernest Herman "Ernie" Kepner, 79, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away on June 13, 2024 at UPMC Harrisburg. He was born in Harrisburg on February 11, 1945 to the late Clarence and Esther (Zebell) Kepner.
Ernie graduated from Central Dauphin High School. He then proudly served our country in the U.S. Marines. He retired from Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in Commercial Registration and also worked part-time for The Salvation Army in Camp Hill. He also had a booth at the Antique Market Place. He belonged to various organizations over the years. Ernie loved to read and crotchet. He was an avid antique hunter and Christmas decorator. Ernie will be greatly missed by all.
Ernie is survived by his brother, Carl Kepner of Bressler, PA; and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Clarence Kepner Jr.
Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Historical Society of Dauphin County, 219 S.
