Obituary

Elmer A. Sigouin, 84, of Camp Hill, passed away on Tuesday August 29, 2017 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. Born on December 8, 1932 in Lisbon, NY, he was the son of the late Ovila and Laura (Clement) Sigouin, and he was the widower of Ann M. (Podgurski) Sigouin. Elmer attended Massena High School in New York, he went on to serve in the Strategic Air Command in the US Airforce where he was a jet mechanic achieving a rank of Staff Sergeant. Prior to his retirement he was a self-employed Soil Engineering Technician, Driller, and Drilling Foreman. He was a longtime member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Enola and also was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Elmer was very handy and loved making repairs. He is survived by two sons, Mark and Robert, a daughter, Patricia, four granddaughters, three grandsons, and two great granddaughters. A viewing will be held from 7:00-9:00 P.M. on Friday September 1, 2017 in the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday September 2nd at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 225 Salt Rd, Enola, with Rev. Donald H. Bender as Celebrant. Burial with military honors will be held immediately following the mass at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Mechanicsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 1019 Mumma Rd, Wormleysburg, PA 17043.
