Elaine Ann (Squires) Rehman passed away peacefully with her husband of 65 years, Bernie/Robert, by her side and family surrounding her with love in body and spirit. A woman with a loving and compassionate heart, she loved her family unconditionally and blessed all those who knew her with her grace and humor.

Elaine was born on April 7, 1933, to Robert and Helen Squires in Harrisburg, PA. She graduated from William Penn High School in 1951 and married Robert Bernard Rehman, the love of her life, on June 24 of that same year. Elaine and Bernie started a family the following year, and she embraced the role of motherhood and all that went with it. Her interests were varied and often related to her children's activities. Elaine was active in the Republican Woman's Club, served as PTA secretary and Camp Hill Little League secretary, and was an avid bowler and ran the Junior Bowling League for years at Trindle Bowling Alley. Elaine was also Bernie's secretary when he started his own business in the 1960s. If she was involved in it, she had a leadership role, as she was an incredible organizer. She was the Girl Scout cookie mom and was at every one of her children's many sporting events, choral concerts, and church activities, often two or three a day!

Elaine was always a huge sports enthusiast, especially baseball. She believed in supporting the local team, and when Bernie and Elaine moved to Florida to retire, they embraced the Tampa Bay Rays, while always having a soft spot for the Cubs. In 2008, Elaine and Bernie celebrated the Rays making it to the American League Championship Series by watching from their season ticket seats. Elaine even dyed her hair blue to commemorate the occasion. Elaine spent many happy years in Florida, moving back to Pennsylvania a little over a year ago to be closer to family.

Elaine leaves behind a legacy of love, including 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren (with another on the way). She is survived by her husband Bernie, their son Robert and wife Connie of Silver Springs, MD, and their children Carolyn, Ryan, and Brooke; daughter Virginia and husband Jeffrey Capp of Camp Hill, PA, and their children Amanda and husband John Forr and their children Ruby, Josephine, and Samuel, Nathaniel and wife Andrea and their children Oliver and Ellis, and Emily and her husband James Lucas and their children Gabriel and Winifred; son Stephen and his wife Kim of Owings Mills, MD, and their children Stephanie and husband Joshua Dunn and their children Jaden, Eli, and Noah, Amber and her husband Ethan Lewis, and Addison; and son Douglas and his wife Sandra of Mechanicsburg, PA, and their children Michael and his wife Stefanie and their children Harper and Olivia, Kristi and her husband Kirk Colwell and their children Natalie, Aubrey, and Peyton, and Jennifer and her husband James Kirker and their soon-to-be-arriving daughter Nora Jean.

A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, December 13th at 11 am at the Camp Hill Church of God on 123 North 21st Street in Camp Hill. Visitation will be at the church from 10 to 11, and a reception will be held after the service in the church's gathering place to meet with the family and share in the life of a truly remarkable woman.
