Dorothy Mae Dunn, 88, of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital on June 24, 2024 with all of her adult children at her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul L. Dunn, Jr. who passed in 1973, her parents, Samuel and Catherine Laurenson, and her second husband, Melvin Trump who passed in 1995. Dorothy is survived by four (4) children: David Dunn (and wife Jill) of Clifton, Virginia; Dennis Dunn (and wife Teri) of Sewickley, Pennsylvania; Denise Law (and husband Greg) of Palmetto, Florida; and Diane Cobaugh (and husband Mark) of Middletown, Pennsylvania; and by her sister (Carol Smith of Picture Rocks, Pennsylvania); She is also survived by seven (7) Grandchildren: Cheri, Stephen, Jocelyn, Amy, Michael, Alexander and Kelsey; and eleven (11) Great-Grandchildren: Austin, Cole, Cora, Cody, McKenzie, Lucas, Nathan, Chloe, Siara, Jordan, and Holly. Dorothy was born on May 17, 1936 and grew up in Picture Rocks, Pennsylvania. She was an excellent student and went on to graduate from Hughesville High School in 1954. She relocated to Harrisburg that same year, where she graduated from the Thompson Business School before meeting and marrying Paul. Shortly thereafter, she secured employment as an Administrative Assistant at the Keystone Artificial Limb and Orthopedic Company. She was dedicated and hard-working and enjoyed many fruitful years working for the company. She was also active with the American Business Woman's Association (ABWA), and served as President at her local ABWA chapter for a number of years. Dorothy's highest priority, however, was always her family. In the early years of raising children, she worked part time jobs with the Camp Hill School District in and around raising her four (4) kids, which meant taking breaks from Keystone as needed. None of those were easy. Nor was becoming a widow at 37 years of age and facing the daunting challenge of raising four (4) kids as a single mother. But Dorothy was never a quitter! Her kids will tell you she faced a lot of adversity in life, including her health, but never gave up. Her faith throughout was truly remarkable. It sustained her and made her resilient. She was tough and independent, but still possessed a very kind heart. As such, she persevered through a lot and accomplished a lot! By any measure, her life was a huge success. She will be remembered as an unselfish Christ follower, lady of faith, daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, teacher and someone who placed the needs of others above her own. Services will be held at Calvary Independent Church, 3201 N. Progress Avenue, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Monday, July 1, 2024, with visitation at 9:30 am and service at 10:30 am. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 pm at Rolling Green Cemetery in Camp Hill.
