Donna G. Amig, 70, of New Cumberland passed away on December 13th, 2014, at Frey Village Retirement Center in Middletown.

Born on February 8th, 1944, in Mechanicsburg, she was the daughter of the late Henry N. Graffius and Gertrude ("Trudy") G. Graffius, and the widow of Alden P. Amig. Donna graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Art Education. She worked as a technical illustrator at Dupont Electronics and Berg Electronics.

Donna was very interested in the history of ballet, and enjoyed making colored pencil drawings of famous ballet dancers, based upon photographs taken at their performances. She loved sewing and making her own clothes, choosing beautiful materials and carefully completing each outfit with finely tailored details. She had a lifelong interest in classical music, and helped support several classical music stations. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill.

Both Donna and her husband Alden were avid birdwatchers, and at one time raised two baby blue jays to adulthood, which they had discovered as abandoned chicks in their yard.

Surviving are her sister Patty Plummer of Urbana, IL, and her brother Jeffrey Graffius of York, PA, as well as three nephews, Christopher Plummer of Urbana, IL, Dustin Graffius of Phoenix, AZ, and Ryan Graffius of Harrisburg, PA. She is also survived by a stepdaugher Terri Amig, and a step-grandson, of Cape May, NJ, and two stepsons, Bruce Amig of Charlotte, NC, and Eric Amig of Westfield, NJ.

Memorial services will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, December 17th in the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St, Camp Hill, with Bishop Guy S. Edmiston, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rolling Green Memorial Park, Lower Allen Township. Visitation will be held in the Funeral Home on December 17th from 11:00 AM until the start of the Memorial Service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to WRTI, the classical music radio station in Philadelphia, and to the Hospice of Central Pennsylvania.
