Denis P. Sicchitano, 69, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Saturday August 8, 2015.
Born September 15, 1945 in Long Beach, CA, he was the son of the late Joseph Francis and Beverly (Patterson) Sicchitano.
Denis was a retired Guidance Counselor with 47 years of service in public schools. Starting his career with the Cumberland Valley School District, he spent most of his career with the South Middleton School District. Committed to his students and community, in 2007, he was honored with the Teacher Impact Award. He was a member of Temple Ohev Sholom, Harrisburg. He was a Mason and a past Master of Lowther Manor Lodge No. 781. He was a loyal Pittsburgh sports fan. A master of poor quality dry humor, Denis was the only member of the family who could swim without getting wet.
Denis is survived by two sons, Joseph S. Sicchitano and his wife Deborah, and their three children Reagan, Kendyll and Brennan, of Charlotte, NC, and Douglas A. Sicchitano and his girlfriend Tania Crisanti, of Enola, PA.
Graveside services were held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday August 11, 2015 at Rolling Green Cemetery, 1811 Carlisle Rd., Camp Hill, with Rabbi Eric Cytryn officiating.
