David Charles Hoyt, 66, died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at his home in Mechanicsburg. He was born December 11, 1959, in Reading Hospital.

He is survived by his parents, the Rev. Canon Calvin Van Kirk and Judith L. Hoyt, of Camp Hill; and his siblings, Lawrence K. Hoyt of Belfast, Maine and Sarah H. Lenhard of Villanova, PA.

Dave graduated from Bucknell University. As an engineer, his career centered in technical sales. His interest always centered upon people and sports. Distance running was later succeeded by cycling. It was common for him to ride 75 or more miles a week, year-round.

He will be missed, though we rejoice that when he was called home, he was in a good place. Now, he is in an even better one. We shall forever be proud of you Dave!

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. in the Mt. Calvary Episcopal Church, 125 N 25th St, Camp Hill, PA 17011. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Calvary Episcopal Church, 125 N 25th St, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
