Daniel B. Drawbaugh, 84, of Camp Hill, PA, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. Born on December 9, 1940, in Mechanicsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Victor R. and Louise (Floyd) Drawbaugh. He married Margaret M. (Mentzer) Drawbaugh, September 1962, who survives. After graduating from Mechanicsburg High School and from Lehigh University, he received his Masterrsquos degree in civil engineering from Penn State University. He retired from the Dept of Environmental Resources as the Director of the Bureau of Water Quality Management in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Daniel was a 56-year member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Camp Hill. He, along with his wife, Margaret, deal in antiques and postcards at Lemoyne Antique Market Place. He enjoyed golfing at Myrtle Beach and locally with his golf buddies. He was an avid reader, a hiking enthusiast, and diligently worked researching family genealogy. The Cumberland County Historical Society was an important avocation because his namesake, uncle ldquoDaniel Drawbaughrdquo was the inventor of numerous items found in their museum- particularly the telephone and a tall pendulum clock. Dan was a lifelong enthusiast of baseball during his youth playing M-burg Little League, as a father coaching C.H..L.L. and as a grandfather watching grandsons play. Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Peggy, two sons: William Drawbaugh and his wife Lori and James ldquoJedrdquo Drawbaugh and his significant other, Megan Luther four grandchildren: Joanne Drawbaugh, Douglas Drawbaugh, Kathryn Drawbaugh, and Jonathan Drawbaugh his brother Robert J. Drawbaugh of Vermont cousin Jane (Drawbaugh) Doherty of Pennsylvania, and two nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, in Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2000 Chestnut Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011. A visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of the memorial service. Burial will be at the Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill, PA. 17011 following the service.
