Cindy Howe, 66, of Camp Hill passed away December 3, 2019 surrounded by loved ones. Known for her compassion, devotion to family and friends, and wonderful sense of humor, Cindy will be missed by all who had the fortune of knowing her. A nurse for over 40 years, Cindy provided care for countless patients and added tremendous value to her profession, most notably in the area of perianesthesia. She was known as an excellent clinician, educator, mentor, and leader. Cindy retired from nursing from Harrisburg Hospital, having served previously at hospitals in Beaufort, SC; Asheville, NC; and Lake Worth; FL.
Nothing, though, was more important to Cindy than her family and lifelong friends. Cindy was preceded in death by her mother Joan Howe. In her final months, she lived with her cousin Hilary Hunt and her family, Wade, Ethan aka "her #1 man," and her "best snuggler" Audrey of York Springs, PA. She is also survived by her aunts Charlene Moore of Hillsdale, MI; Frieda Gover of Mechanicsburg, PA; and Betty McGill Shaw of Penn Yann, NY; her uncle Al McGill (Judy) of Port Richey, FL; and numerous cousins, including Janine Park of Camp Hill, PA; Janet Gover of Kalamazoo, MI; Susan McGill of Penn Yann, NY; and Carol McGill (Ron Burke) of Pulteney, NY.
A celebration of life will be conducted this upcoming summer in Michigan at a time convenient for the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to CAPA Beaufort, P.O. Box 531, Beaufort, SC 29901
