Obituary

Clay Taylor, 89 of Port St. Lucie FL, passed away on Wednesday November 22, 2017 at the Bridges of Bent Creek, Mechanicsburg, PA. Born on June 12, 1928 in Prosser, WA, he was the son of the late George and Carrie (Heintzelman) Taylor and was the widower of the lovely Margaret (Lamparter) Taylor who passed away in 2005. He joined the Navy and attended Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. He, his wife, her sister and brother in law owned Shenandoah Floral Manufacturing Co. in Mechanicsburg, PA. His work travels included trips to Taiwan, Japan and China. He retired from Clay Taylor Associates, a business he created after Shenandoah was sold. He was a member of the West Shore Country Club and Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, both in Camp Hill, PA. Clay enjoyed the Wall Street Journal, talking business, playing rummique, and tennis. He was an avid golfer. He loved the shore, boating, and warm weather. He is survived by three daughters, Debbie Miller, of Columbia, SC, Peggy Busch, of Mukilteo, WA, and Tracy Taylor, of Lewisberry, PA; three grandchildren Teri Busch (Mitchell), Tiffany and Andrew Miller and one great grandchild, George Taylor Mitchell. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a brother, William Taylor and a grandson, Lawrence Taylor Busch. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Jan. 6, 2018 in Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church,1610 Carlisle Rd, Camp Hill, PA., He is buried with his wife at Rolling Green Cemetery.
