Cheryl (Yurkovich) Pekala, 54, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Monday August 10, 2015 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born on February 17, 1961, in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of Olive (Weaver) Gary and Robert Yurkovich, of Inverness FL.
Cheryl attended Harcum Jr. College where she graduated with an associate's degree before starting her career as a Claims Representative with Capital Blue Cross.
Cheryl is also survived by her Brothers Mark Yurkovich, of Bear DE, Christopher Yurkovich, of Chambersburg, PA, Brian Yurkovich, of Lebanon, PA, and Kevin Yurkovich, of Indiana, PA. In addition to her brothers Cheryl is also survived by two Sisters, Roberta Armann, of Herkimer NY, and Amanda Mathis, of Satellite City, Fl.
She was preceded in death by her baby sister Valerie.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate her life Friday August 14, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market Street, Camp Hill. A visitation will be held in the funeral Home on Friday from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
