Charles H. "Charlie" Ward, 77, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023, at his residence.

He was born April 30, 1946, in Harrisburg, PA, the son of the late Paul and Katharine (Williams) Ward. He married Linda Lou (Pendleton) Ward.

He received his bachelor's degree from Rider University in Trenton, New Jersey. He was a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, having worked for General Accident, Fred S. James Reliance and for Iroquois Insurance groups as well as having owned his own insurance business.

He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill, PA, a former member of the Carlisle Country Club and a member of the West Shore Country Club.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Lou Ward, his two daughters Wendy Sherwood and her husband Patrick of Pottstown, PA, Amy Sherwood and her husband Ryan of Mechanicsburg, PA six grandchildren Emily Sherwood, Connor Sherwood, Katharine Sherwood, Quinten Sherwood, Lindsey Kilcullen, and Ryan Kilcullen, and his sister Paula Montgomery and her husband Jim of Mechanicsburg, PA.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, October 20, 2023, in the Myers-Baker Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, PA, with Pastor Jack Horner officiating. A viewing will be held in the funeral home on Friday from 12:30 pm until the time of the service. Burial will be held following the service in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill, PA
