Carolyn G. Jones, 90, of Lower Allen Twp., passed away on Saturday October 18, 2014 at The Haven at Spring Wood, York.
Born on January 19, 1924 in Boiling Springs, she was the daughter of the late Russell C. and Irene E. (Miller) Sipe, and she was the widow of William Wentz Jones.
She was a 1942 Graduate of Carlisle High School. She was retired after 20 years of employment in the Treasury Dept. for the Commonwealth of PA. Carolyn was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Lewisberry; Capital City Polka Assoc., Adam Barthalt Fan Club, Lancaster Liederkranz, and studied Tai Chi with the Mechanicsburg Senior Citizens Assoc. She also loved solving jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by a son, Barry W. Jones and his wife Connie R., of New Providence, a daughter, Audrey E. Belsak, of Red Lion, two brothers, Lester L. Sipe, and Francis G. Sipe, both of Carlisle, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday October 25, 2014 in the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill. A visitation will be held in the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday October 27th at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
