Carol M. Dimov, 77, of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday January 26, 2020 in the company of her immediate family.
Born on September 19, 1942 in Harrisburg, PA, she is the daughter of the late Clarence B. and S. Mildred (Deardorf) Floyd, and she was the widow of D. Donald Dimov, who passed away in 2008.
Carol was a graduate of John Harris High School in Harrisburg. She started her career working for Bell Telephone, but she retired from IBM. Carol loved all animals. She was an excellent horse-woman and put down strong roots in the horse community in her earlier years when she would break and train horses that were deemed un-trainable to save them and make sure they got good homes. She regularly took in horses that were on their last chance before being put down and rehabbed them with lots of TLC at her own stables and farm named Blue Caballo Ranch. Carol was a natural when it came to horses, and enjoyed western riding, and even participated in a few rodeo events in her early years; the barrel racing being her favorite. Over the years, Carol also loved and owned a variety of other animals including numerous dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and even cattle. In addition to her horses, her most recent and beloved animals are three loyal cats, Scooter, Grazie, and Sirabi.
Carol was the type of person that would instinctively put others before herself, and would do anything for anyone, including complete strangers. She was an incredibly strong, generous, and kind woman and an amazing role model for everyone who knew her.
Carol is survived by her Daughter, Heather C. Sinn and her husband Robert, of Mechanicsburg, PA; and two stepsons, Jeff Dimov of Plattsmouth, NE, and Rory Dimov of Weeki Wachee, FL.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her older brother, Marlin "Sonny" Floyd in 1991.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday February 4, 2020 in the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, PA, with the Rev. Keith Searfoss officiating.
