Bonnie Jo Campbell, 68, of Camp Hill, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at her home in Camp Hill.
Born on March 13, 1958, in Harrisburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Master Sargent Robert Bruce Campbell, Joan (Madden) Campbell, RN, and stepmother Susan (Lehman) Campbell.
Bonnie was a 1976 graduate of Redland high school, Lewisberry, PA. She went on to complete her Registered Nursing Degree from Harrisburg Area Community College and her bachelor's degree in nursing from Penn State University, following in her mother's footsteps who graduated at the Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing.
During her career as a registered nurse, Bonnie worked for several medical facilities including Holy Spirit Hospital, Harrisburg Hospital, Hershey Medical Center and several private local health centers with her final occupation as a Clinical Review Nurse at the PA State Department of Human Services. She was also a nursing educator for the Harrisburg Area Community College. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Mechanicsburg and a devout follower of Shepard's Chapel. More than anything, Bonnie loved spending time with her family, her friends, and engaging in her community and church. She is seen as the matriarch of her family, a dedicated nurse to coworkers and patients of all kinds, a caring friend to all and a woman of unwavering faith.
She is survived by her children, David Elliot Campbell and his wife Lindsay Schwartz, of New Cumberland, PA, Madlyn Mareth Campbell and Megan Jane Campbell, both of Camp Hill, PA, her siblings, Dianne Grandon, Robert B. Campbell, Jr., William S. Campbell and sister-in-law Brenda Campbell Anastasio, all of Camp Hill, PA, three nephews, Chris Campbell, Mike Grandon, and Jeffrey Grandon, two nieces, Jennifer McCullough and Amelia Campbell, and several grand nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Captain David Guy Campbell.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday May 14th, 2026, in the Myers-Baker Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, PA, with Pastor Mike Minnex. A visitation with Bonnie's family will be held on Thursday May 14th, 2026, in the funeral home from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be private and handled at the convenience of the family in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill, PA.
