Barbara Ann Scott passed away peacefully on March 3, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's.
She was born in Philadelphia on September 20, 1932 but raised in York, Pa. by her parents Adolph and Sadie Seidensticker.
She attended schools in York, went to Penn State, and received her B/A from Millersburg University in 1959.
She had two children, Kim and Melissa, when she met her husband Walter Scott in 1960 and they were married in June 1961. They lived in Camp Hill, where their daughter Dee was born in April 1963.
She was a wonderful woman and homemaker and balanced her time as a very active tennis player and excellent sailor. She and her husband sponsored many tennis events and played doubles with her lady friends for many years. She taught her husband how to sail and they enjoyed many years of sailing at Long level on the Susquehanna River.
She was beautiful, energetic and full of life. She enjoyed the arts and literature, was an avid reader, master gardener and floral designer, and loved to cook and entertain.
Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter Melissa and her Brother Bill Seidensticker.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years -Walter Scott; a daughter Kim Heindel Toner; daughter Dee Scott Moser and her husband Richard Moser; and three Grandchildren-Alexis Toner Floyd, Richard Toner, Ava Moser, and many other close friends and family.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 19, 2016 in the Myers–Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill. A visitation will be held in funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
