Barbara G. Meyers, 69, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Thursday January 16, 2014 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.
Born on March 9, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Helayne (Brassington) Gnau and was the widow of Gerald R. Meyers.
She was a graduate of William Penn High School, Harrisburg, and she went on to attend Ithaca College, NY. Barbara had been employed at the Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg. She was a member of Trindle Springs Lutheran Church, Mechanicsburg. She loved spending time with her dogs.
She is survived by her son, Michael R. Meyers, of Carlisle; two daughters, Jennifer M. Foster and her husband, David; Jill M. Navarrete and her husband Joshua, of Mechanicsburg; a sister in law, Lynne M. Fuller, of Camp Hill; six grandchildren and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jeffrey Tigner.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Monday January 20, 2014 in the Trindle Springs Lutheran Church, 14 State Rd., Mechanicsburg, with the Pastor Richard G. Lorenz officiating. A visitation with the family will be held in the church on Monday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
