Arletta J. Thomas, 93, of Mechanicsburg, PA passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Bethany Village.
Born April 11, 1930, in Blandburg, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Martha (Richardson) Lovell. She was married to Calvin A. Thomas who preceded her in death on October 29, 1999.
Arletta graduated from Reade Township High School. She had worked as a secretary/switchboard operator with the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO, in Harrisburg. She had been involved with the Camp Hill Woman's Club and had been an active member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Camp Hill prior to moving to Bethany Village. She loved to read and was a very sociable person.
Arletta is survived by her daughter Tanya Meyers and her husband Robert of Mechanicsburg, two grandchildren Brandon Meyers and his wife Randee and Whitney Wirickx and her husband Tim and four grandchildren Cody Wirickx, Evan Wirickx, Jack Meyers and Charlie Meyers, and her sister-in-law Ethel Lovell.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Arletta was preceded in death by brothers, Jack and Farley Lovell and a sister, Janet Rudy.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Rolling Green Cemetery, 1811 Carlisle Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
