Allan E. Allison, 62, of Lewisberry, passed away on Tuesday July 14, 2015 at Harrisburg Hospital. Born on July 11, 1953 in Harrisburg, PA, he was the son of the late Edward and Ruth (Himmelright) Allison. He was a graduate of William Penn High School. Allan worked for the Harrisburg Area YMCA as a Maintenance Director. He was known for his great sense of humor and his endless yet entertaining storytelling. Allan had a great kindness towards others and would literally give you the shirt off his back. Allan is survived by a son, Frank A. Allison and his wife Heather, of Camp Hill, a daughter, Ena M. Alexander and her husband Michael, of Camp Hill, his best friend, Linda Z. Gorter, of Lewisberry, a sister, Viola Debes, of Drexel Hill, three grandchildren, Alena Alexander, Riley Banks, and Brynley Allison, and his loyal Dog, Blitz. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Allison. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday July 19, 2015 in the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, with the Rev. Dr. Douglas Pieper officiating. A viewing will be held in the funeral home from 2:00-5:00 P.M. on Sunday July 18, 2015, and an additional viewing will be held on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
