Alan D. Meade, 61, of Harrisburg, passed away on Sunday July 5, 2015 at Golden Living Center- Camp Hill. Born on September 11, 1953 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late James and Audrey (Beshore) Meade. He was a retired mechanic for Goodyear. Alan was a fan of NASCAR and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his daughter Bridget N. Meade and her husband Jeremy Davis, of Harrisburg; a son, William Meade, of Harrisburg, five brothers, Jeffrey L. Beshore, Gregory L. Meade, both of Harrisburg, William J. Meade, Eugene P. Meade, and James E. Meade, all of Lebanon, two sisters, Linda S. Shenck and Barbara A. Nye, both of Harrisburg, and four grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Ann Miller. A celebration of Alan's life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday July15, 2015 at St. Thomas United Church of Christ, 6490 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA. At the request of Alan's family, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Myers-Harner Funeral & Cremation Services, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, PA 17011, to assist with the cost of funeral services.
